BRIEFLY: (in the past)

On January 3 2013, I refreshed my Facebook status as follows:

“Hello “friends”.
FRIENDS are there to support one another..right?
Now i need YOUR support. I am neither asking you for money nor to give me or a friend accoodation for their visits to your city. What I need from you is as follows:
I have set a particular DEADLINE for 31st January 2013. You will be doing me a great favour and SUPPORTING me immensely through the following actions:
1) Occasionally ask me for a progress report/ or proof of progress or milestone. (I will create access to the current state -WIP-, once 18 people offer to support me by LIKING this post)
2) If you see me on facebook, KINDLY and STERNLY ask me to go back to work.
3) On 31st January, ask me for the final work done.
However, I am allowed to ask for an extension and would need the approval of at least 12 people for this to take effect.
Wishing you all a very successful 2013″

TODAY: (07 Feb 2013)

It is done! with added 5 days due to illness but I am satisfied.
The premiere of the Video was yesterday:
I thank all of you who supported me through this. It might have seemed like a banal facebook post in the beginning but I am witness to the fact that it  best step to take because your support meant a lot to me without which I would not have pulled this through. I feel so free and RENEWED. My joy is not about the animation (as it is not a masterpiece) My joy is that I have broken FREE of the CHAINS that have held my creativity  since after loosing both parents within a short time.

Now I have the strength to pursue my other projects especially “The Legacy of Rubies” which has suffered enormously under the weight of this creative clog.

THE CORE/ THE CAUSE / THE TRAUMA/ THE CLOG

Good Morning Friends,

First of all, I would like to say a big thanks to all who have offered to support me. Some might think this is a joke but it is a serious strategy and I am glad some of you have also expressed how interesting they find it. Who knows, maybe we are starting a new working method here.

Now, let me give you details:

I have  music video that I have been working on since early 2010 .From the onset of the project, it was plagued with setbacks in form of LOSSES;

The first one came instantly in 2010 in the form of death in the musician’s family, which led to him not being sure if we wanted to continue with the project.By the time it was settled, MY father followed suit, leading to a total loss of creative energy on my part.  Two weeks after my Father was laid to rest, my Mother followed and that did it for me!

Then in 2011, my mother-in-law followed.

That way, 2010 and 2011 were completely wasted years for me. NONE of the things I started in these two years was finished. Sure, none of the people/bodies who are waiting for the projects can understand these because it is only he who feels it that knows it. The only thing that is being seen is that “She is hanging out on social media and neglecting her project”

I had always thought that the term “loss   of creative energy” was made up by people who did not want to work.. Ha! Now I know that it is very difficult to tackle and just ‘will’ alone does not do it sometimes.

Through 2012, I have been struggling to pick up again but it just is not working as it should. Finally, in September 2012, I had a terrible system crash of my animation computer, leading to the loss of ALL my previous work on all of these projects. Sure I was backing up my data (with a software called RoboCopy, which actually CLONES the drives) but  a faulty script was backing up the wrong drive.

That being the WORST, I took it as a message that I should start afresh. (yes I am a STRONG believer, even though one might not see me in the churches)

So, at about the end of October 2012, I started both projects COMPLETELY new. “Closer N’ Closer” Music Video (6 minutes)  “The Legacy of Rubies” Short Film (23 Minutes)both of which have undergone serious restructuring both in style and content, so might no more look like what you see on the links supplied.

Below is a screenshot of an old production schedule of “Closer N’ Closer (the music video) which is what THIS deadline is all about.

The production schedule is from 2012. I did not, and will not prepare a new one, rather I am making entries of my current progress in  the old schedule. This is because making a new schedule will prompt me to enter a REALISTIC -normal- working speed which would mean that I will be on it till at least June 2013.  I cannot afford to do that because “The Legacy of Rubies” should be delivered in June!!!

As you can see, as of today 03.01.13, I am at the stage of finishing the leica reel and starting the rough animations which are supposed to be running parallel.

In my personal opinion, I see (and have decided to use) a co-incidence here; What with the the so-called Mayan new era of 12.12.12 (despite the calculation error they had..lol .

Well, I think every individual can always find a new era in their lives depending on what they go through. As Christianity preaches; ” God helps those who help themselves”.

I do not have money to engage people to work on these projects but I have “friends” both real and virtual who can help me pull it through depending on how I percieve and utilize the term “help”, which is why I have started this.

This is why i have said to KARMA  “I have paid my dues and it should suffice for at least 1000 years”
